Outcasts: Surviving The Culture of Rejection (2014) is an award-winning feature length documentary that reveals why the US incarcerates more of its citizens than any other nation on the planet. Written and directed by Stephen Newton, the film aired on East Tennessee PBS after its world premiere in 2014 and was selected for screening at several US film festivals.
